Quick Help
- Make sure your iPhone or iPad is connected to Wi‑Fi.
- Allow Local Network access when iOS asks.
- Some devices may hide themselves, sleep, or block local discovery.
- Run another scan if a device just joined the network.
What NetPeek Does
NetPeek scans your current private local network and shows devices that respond to safe local checks. You can rename unknown devices, save notes, favorite important devices, review scan history, and export a simple report.
Discovery is best-effort. iOS does not reliably expose MAC addresses or hardware vendors, and not every device responds to local discovery or port checks.
Privacy
NetPeek is local-first.
- No account is required.
- Saved devices, notes, favorites, and scan history stay on your device.
- NetPeek only scans private local network ranges.
- NetPeek does not scan public internet targets.
- The optional speed test contacts Cloudflare speed test endpoints only when you start a speed test.
FAQ
Why are some devices missing?
Some devices block discovery, sleep when idle, use firewalls, or do not advertise local services. NetPeek shows responding devices and lets you name devices it can identify only partially.
Can NetPeek show MAC addresses?
iOS does not reliably expose MAC addresses to apps. NetPeek does not depend on MAC address lookup.
Does NetPeek scan the public internet?
No. NetPeek is designed for your current private local Wi‑Fi network.
